Life transitions are difficult because they force us to let go of the familiar and face the future with a sense of vulnerability. Life transitions can take many forms including marriage, divorce, loss of a loved one, career change, birth of a child, or adjusting to a new phase in life.
Whether positive or negative, planned or unexpected, life transitions can stir up feelings of confusion and disorientation. Some individuals may experience shock, anger, sadness and feelings of helplessness.
On the positive side, transitions give us an opportunity to grow and learn. Now is a good time to take advantage of the fork in the road you find yourself facing. Our counselors can help you explore what this transition time means for you and how you can come out of this experience strengthened, revitalized, and excited for the next phase of your life.
